ABOUT RESTORE
Located 15 minutes north of downtown Kansas City, Restore Community Church: Park Hill Campus is a multigenerational church, primarily made up of young families. Restore was founded 16 years ago with a passion for helping people find their way back to God and developing Christ followers to be disciple-makers everyday and everywhere. From the beginning, Restore has committed to being a church planting church, because it takes all kinds of people to reach all kinds of people. Since 2008 Restore has helped plant 64 churches either by sending current staff, training pastors through our church planting residency program, or donating to help cover start up costs.
Restore Park Hill Campus has also developed strong community partnerships in Kansas City and the Park Hill School district. Restore supports local homeless shelters financially & through volunteering. They support families in need through Care Portal in Kansas City. Restore also spearheads a community wide back to school backpack supply drive that gives away hundreds of backpacks every year to K-12th grade students who need them.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to hire our next Worships Arts Director for our main campus, Park Hill, to help us continue to grow in our worship culture and missional engagement. Our current worship style incorporates music from Maverick City City, Hillsong, Elevation Worship, and others to name a few.
Objective: Champion & lead gospel-centered spiritual engagement & reproduction through worship that helps catalyze discipleship for our church.
Essential Functions
Recruit, develop and train worship team and tech team volunteers* Leverage our in house Leadership Development tool (Leadership Pathway) to discipleship leaders inside the of the Worship and Tech Teams
Establish teams of volunteers that are 3-4 volunteers deep.
Demonstrate creativity with the recruitment, development, training and discipleship of those volunteers.
Leading the Worship Team as a cohesive unit:* Keys, Electric, Acoustic, Bass, Drums, Worship Leaders, Background Vocals, etc.
Leading the Tech Team:* Pro-presenter, Lights, Sound
Foster an environment of worship that invites people into God’s presence and helps catalyze their next steps in discipleship * Helps the church as a whole engage more consistently in worship. This environment is created through song selection, leadership, encouragement and intentional invitation for the team and our attenders to take next steps in worship engagement.
Fosters worship environments outside of the weekend experience such as our twice a year Vision Nights for our leaders.
Collaborate and add creative value to our service planning team that meets weekly to review the previous Sunday, finalize the following Sunday, and a Sunday 2 months in advance. We call this the "Big Idea" meeting which includes the pastors, worship leaders, and center of excellence team.
